Hoffman Estates is having their 3rd Annual Scarecrow Festival Saturday, September 25, from Noon – 3:00 PM. For more information, visit www.heparks.org. This event will be held in conjunction with Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play. We were very busy making scarecrow parts and helping people build scarecrows. Mostly we spent our time smiling. What a great family event. We’ll see how many they make tomorrow at Pioneer Days in Elk Grove. Traditionally, we make about 100 scarecrows, and we’ve got the materials for that many this time too. The orange hair does it for this ladie’s scarecrow. Gotta love the creativity in the design of this Door County scarecrow. |
